Pocket Paramedic (“Pocket Paramedic,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and professional integrity of first responders and healthcare professionals who use our application.

Pocket Paramedic is designed as an offline reference tool for emergency medical professionals to access and manage their own materials in the field. We intentionally designed the app to NEVER collect, store, and/or transmit personal or patient data.

1. Information We Collect

 

Pocket Paramedic collects ZERO personal information.

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of the following:

• Personal user information

• Patient information

• Health data

• Identifiers of any kind

• Usage analytics

• Device identifiers

• Location data

• Crash logs linked to users

• Account information (no accounts exist)

There is no sign-up, no login, and no cloud connectivity required to use Pocket Paramedic.

2. User-Provided Content

 

Any documents, notes, or reference materials uploaded by users:

• Are stored locally on the user’s device only

• Are never uploaded to any server

• Are never accessible by Pocket Paramedic

• Remain fully under the user’s control

Pocket Paramedic has no ability to view, access, or retrieve any user-uploaded materials.

3. Vitals Tab & Emergency Call Use

 

The Vitals tab is designed strictly as a temporary reference tool during active emergency calls.

• No patient information is stored or recorded

• No identifiers (names, DOB, MRN, addresses, etc.) are captured

• No data persists after use

• Screenshots are disabled within the Vitals tab

• Once the user ends a call or session, all entered information is permanently erased

This ensures full compliance with confidentiality principles and avoids any risk of PHIA or privacy breaches.

4. Offline-Only Design

 

Pocket Paramedic operates entirely offline:

• No internet connection is required

• No data is transmitted externally

• No cloud storage is used

• No background data collection occurs

This offline-first architecture is a deliberate design choice to protect users and patients alike.

5. Data Security & Confidentiality

 

Because Pocket Paramedic does not collect or store data:

• There is no centralized database

• There is no risk of data breaches

• There is no third-party access

• There is no tracking or monitoring

All information remains on the user’s device and under their sole control.

6. Third-Party Services

 

Pocket Paramedic does not integrate with:

• Analytics services

• Advertising networks

• Cloud providers

• Third-party SDKs that collect user data

7. Compliance & Intended Use

 

Pocket Paramedic is intended as a professional reference tool for trained medical responders. It does not replace clinical judgment, medical direction, or official documentation systems.

The app is designed to respect privacy laws and professional confidentiality standards, including principles consistent with PHIA, HIPAA, and similar frameworks—by never handling protected data at all.

8. Children’s Privacy

 

Pocket Paramedic is intended for use by trained professionals and is not directed toward children under 13. Since no data is collected, no children’s data is collected or stored.

9. Changes to This Policy

 

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be made available at the same public URL. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
